I have asked a few fellow competitors why they choose their pokemon. Here are their answers
Gloom: Oh, i just have always loved gloom! I think it's such a hawt mess of a pokemon! Like really? a drooling blue flower that stinks and is named Gloom? awesome
Ninjask: Cuz I like him.
Celebi: I told the host to pick me someone cute and then I choose from a handful lol that's how i got Mew last time too lol
Charmander: He was just my favorite from the basic pokemon when i was a kid haha
Scyther: He was one of my favorites from the original 151 - no relation to personality or how I intend to play the game
