In a battle of epic, lyrical proportions, Gloom proved to be the number one minstrel and walked away with his first HoH win of the season. With the power in his hands this round, he chose to nominate Scyther and Jynx for eviction. However in a game where numbers matter, Scyther made sure to push his counting abilities in to high gear and won the Golden Power of Veto. After removing himself from the block, Gloom then had to name a replacement nominee. Gloom decided to nominate Dewgong in place of Scyther. At the end of this round, the battle was really between Jynx and Dewgong.
